BBQ weather is here!  And Bluetongue BBQs are making their way around the country to their new homes. But although the Bluetongue BBQs arrive (almost!) fully assembled in huge packaging boxes, there are a couple of minor things you need to do when it arrives.

Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions that will save you time and any stress in thinking something is wrong!

THE IGNITION DOESN’T WORK AND I CAN’T LIGHT THE BBQ”

The electronic ignition system needs to have a AA battery installed to work. Just unscrew the chrome igniter button and insert the battery - and hey presto - we have spark!

“WHY DO I HAVE A STRANGE LOOKING SILVER BOX LEFT OVER?”

It is a “smoker” box.

You can use it to flavour your bbq with hickory chips, or not use it at all!

“HOW DO I CONVERT THE BBQ FROM BOTTLED GAS TO NATURAL GAS?”

Most importantly, read the User Manual first.  Even if you don’t usually!

The jets for LPG are piggybacked on top of the jets for natural gas.  You simply remove the LPG jets.  However, the access point is via a panel in the back of the BBQ.  So if you have installed your BBQ against a wall without reading the instructions, you will need to pull it back out.

Bluey is always available to answer any questions you have about your Bluetongue BBQ and it’s installation, so if you need help with anything else, give him a call on 0414 717 535.
